Dongguk University Seoul Campus hereby announces the dormitory application guidelines for new international residents for the 2025 Winter Semester. Eligible applicants include currently enrolled international undergraduate and graduate students. Exchange students, however, must submit their applications through the Office of International Relations.

   New residents will be accommodated in Namsan Dormitory, located on the first floor of the New Engineering Building on the Seoul Campus. The dormitory offers double rooms only and provides facilities such as a convenience store, laundry room, study zone, and fitness center.

   The residence period for the 2025 Winter Semester is from December 18th, Thursday, 2025 to February 23rd, Monday, 2026. The dormitory fee for a double room is 850,000 KRW, with an additional 30,000 KRW facility management fee, which is non-refundable. A total of 880,000 KRW must be paid during the designated payment period. Please note that resignation or withdrawal after the official check-in date may result in partial refund or no refund according to dormitory refund regulations.

   Applications must be submitted between November 14th, Friday and November 23rd, Sunday, 2025, 11:59 P.M. The list of successful applicants will be announced on November 24th, Monday, 4 P.M., via individual email notification. Successful applicants must submit all required documents and complete the dormitory fee payment between November 24th Monday and December 3rd, Wednesday, 2025. The official move-in period is December 18th–19th, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Move-in outside the designated hours and on weekends/holidays is strictly prohibited. If the number of applicants exceeds capacity, some applicants may not be admitted, and final selection will be made after internal review.

   Successful applicants must submit all required documents by the submission deadline. Failure to submit even one required document may result in cancellation of dormitory admission. The required documents include. Successful applicants are required to submit all mandatory documents by the deadline indicated in the email notification. The required documents include a completed Student Accommodation Pledge, a copy of the applicant’s passport, and a chest X-ray result issued within 30 days prior to the designated move-in date. In addition, applicants must provide a measles vaccination certificate or measles antibody test results. The antibody test results must include a physician’s statement confirming positive or negative status, and only applicants with positive results are eligible for residence. Applicants must also submit proof of enrollment in private insurance or travel insurance that covers medical expenses during their stay in Korea. Please ensure that all documents are submitted within the designated submission period.

   The application guidelines for the 2026 Spring Semester will be announced in January through the International Integrated Notice Board. In cases where the number of applicants exceeds capacity, some students may be randomly assigned to Chungmu Dormitory or selected based on internal evaluation factors such as merits/demerits and academic records. Enrollment in medical expense insurance or travel insurance is mandatory. Room and roommate assignments are made randomly and cannot be changed. Applicants with contagious diseases, mental disorders, or those requiring intensive care may be deemed ineligible for admission.
