The Office of International Students at Dongguk University is now recruiting participants for the Global Buddy (A) program. This program, organized by the Office of International Students, runs for about two months and pairs Korean undergraduate students with international students (both undergraduate and graduate) to support their adaptation to campus life and to encourage cultural exchange.
Approximately 50 students will be selected for this semester. The program period is from September 26th, 2025 to December 14th, 2025. Applications will be accepted through DreamPASS (https://ddp.dongguk.edu) between September 8th and September 21st, 2025.
Korean buddies and international buddies should each apply through the designated sections on DreamPASS. The selection will be based on a document review, focusing on the applicant’s motivation.
To complete the program, participants must engage in at least 8 hours of activities, submit daily activity reports, and turn in a final report and satisfaction survey. Korean buddies will receive small rewards and up to 10 DreamPASS mileage points, depending on activity hours. Selected participants will be announced on September 24th, 2025 after 5 P.M. via DreamPASS. An orientation session will be held on September 26th, 2025.
Please note that many international students are from China, so applicants should consider this when applying. Only students who can commit to at least 8 hours of participation during the program period are eligible to apply. Failure to participate after being selected may result in restrictions on future Global Buddy program applications.
