The 7th ASEAN-ROK Award for Excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation is now open for applications. This award aims to recognize outstanding early-career scientists and technologists from ASEAN member states in the fields of natural sciences and engineering. Two individuals will be selected—one in each of the following categories: the “Next ASEAN Innovator,” awarded to a promising scientist or technologist of ASEAN nationality with less than five years of experience after earning a Ph.D., and the “ASEAN-ROK STI Pioneer,” open to ASEAN nationals who are either currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Korea or have obtained their degree within the past five years and have experience conducting joint research with Korean institutions.
Each awardee will receive a certificate from the Minister of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea, a cash prize of USD 12,000, and an invitation to the ASEAN-ROK STI Training Program, which includes full coverage of travel and accommodation expenses. Applications must be submitted by email no later than Thursday, July 31, 2025.
