Dongguk University has opened the dormitory application for international students enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester at the Seoul Campus. The application is open to all new and returning international undergraduate and graduate students. However, exchange students must apply separately through the Office of International Relations.
Two dormitory options are available: Namsan Residence and Chungmu Residence. Namsan offers double rooms and is located on the Seoul Campus, equipped with convenience stores, laundry rooms, study zones, and a fitness center. Chungmu Residence, located at the Chungmuro Video Center, offers triple rooms with shared bathrooms, a kitchen, a coffee shop, and a laundry room.
In principle, current dormitory residents and GKS scholars will continue to stay at Namsan Residence. However, some applicants will be randomly assigned to Chungmu Residence regardless of their preference.
The residence period begins on August 21st, 2025. Students can choose between a 4-month stay (until December 15th, 2025) or a 6-month stay (until February 23rd, 2026). The total fees are KRW 1,562,500 for 4-months and KRW 2,437,500 for 6-months, including a non-refundable facility management fee of KRW 30,000. Meal plans are not included and must be purchased separately. Residents of the 2025 summer semester who extend their stay into the fall semester must pay an additional KRW 37,500. Please note that no extension, reduction, or refund of the residence period is allowed after check-in.
Applications must be submitted between July 11th (Friday) and July 20th (Sunday), 2025, through the Moa form. Accepted applicants will be notified individually via email on July 21st (Monday) at 2:00 P.M. Dormitory fees must be paid by July 31st (Thuesday), 2025. Students may check in between August 21st (Thuesday) and August 28th (Thuesday), 2025, no later than 4:00 P.M.
Priority will be given to GKS scholars, new undergraduate students, new graduate students, and returning students with high GPAs from the previous semester. Due to limited space, not all applicants may be accepted.
After being admitted to the dormitory, students must submit required documents, including: a Student Accommodation Pledge (to be completed on-site), a copy of their passport, a chest X-ray result issued within 30 days prior to move-in, and proof of measles vaccination or antibody test (only students who test positive will be admitted). If the student has not yet received an Alien Registration Card, a confirmation of private or travel insurance must also be submitted.
For inquiries, students can contact the Global Student Team at Room 9139, New Engineering Building, or reach out via phone at 02-2260-4944/4945/4947, or email at scf@dongguk.edu.
