Dongguk University has been offering a balanced breakfast program at 1,000 Won since last year. To ensure high student satisfaction, the university has changed providers and conducts regular inspections, maintaining thorough management. Many students have expressed their satisfaction with the program, saying that it helps them start their day healthily.
This semester, the breakfast alternates between a Korean set meal and a Western-style buffet. The menu has also improved, with an increase in the variety of bread and side dishes, ensuring high-quality meals. The affordable, high-quality breakfast not only reduces financial burden but also helps students maintain nutritional balance with diverse menu options.
The 1,000-Won breakfast program continues until December 12th, excluding holidays and vacation periods. It is available at the first-floor cafeteria of Namsan Haksa and the first-floor cafeteria of BMC Goyang Haksa. Every day, the cafeteria prepares 200 servings and serves breakfast from 8:20 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.. Only Dongguk University undergraduate and graduate students with a mobile student ID are eligible for this service.
Dongguk University hopes that more students will use this program to start their day with a healthy breakfast and focus better on their studies. A balanced breakfast has a positive impact on students’ academic performance and overall health, and the Dongguk Post hopes to see such programs expand further.
