When Quitting a Part-time Job or Other Work
The Global Life Hub will host the 8th session of its 2025 Expert Seminar Series, titled “Everything About Termination of Employment Contracts: From Voluntary Resignation to Unfair Dismissal,” on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Lecture Room 3, 11th floor, Hyundai Department Store Trade Center Cultural Center.
The seminar will cover four main topics: (1) How an employment contract can be terminated, including different types of contract endings and whether verbal dismissal is valid; (2) What to check if you receive a notice of dismissal, such as the legal requirements for termination and the dismissal notice system; (3) The difference between recommended resignation and dismissal, including what to keep in mind before signing a resignation letter; and (4) An easy guide to unemployment benefits, covering eligibility requirements and application procedures.
The session is open to foreign residents, with a limit of 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The lecturer will be Kim Myung-seon, a certified labor attorney and representative of Hyesung Labor Law Firm.
