[Notice] Dongguk International Student Supporters Association
Dongguk University is calling on its currently enrolled students to show keen interest and support for the recruitment of the Dongguk International Student Supporters Association (DISSA) for the 2025 Fall Semester. DISSA is being established to assist foreign exchange students studying at the university during the 2025 Fall Semester in adapting to Korean culture and campus life, as well as to plan and operate school events and cultural programs.
The main activities for DISSA members will include planning and operating cultural programs for foreign exchange students, organizing exchange programs with current Dongguk students, providing operational support to the Global Exchange Team for foreign exchange student events and short-term programs, and managing the supporter's social media accounts and creating various content such as card news, short videos, and other multimedia.
The university aims to select within 10 individuals for this program. The activity period will span approximately five months, from August to December 2025. Students who demonstrate excellent performance during their tenure will have the opportunity to extend their participation to the following semester upon re-application.
Eligibility for DISSA membership requires applicants to be able to actively participate in DISSA activities throughout the 2025 Fall Semester. Applicants must be current undergraduate students of Dongguk University during the 2025 Fall Semester, with no restrictions on year or major. In the second stage, the final selection will be made based on a combined score from the document evaluation (30%) and the interview evaluation (70%).
Bonus points will be awarded for prior experience as an exchange student, participation in programs like Dongguk BUDUD or Summer School Buddy, short-term training organized by the Global Exchange Team, and other past supporter activities. Applicants who can demonstrate skills in photo and video editing and submit relevant content portfolios will also receive additional consideration.
