[Notice] The English Level Test Is Scheduled for Incoming Freshmen

   The English Level Test is scheduled for incoming freshmen in the second half of the 2024 academic year. Dongguk University is conducting the English level test to ensure that students complete the General English curriculum according to their English level. Eligible students are 1) new freshmen (foreign freshmen) in September 2024 and 2) students who are returning or re-entering the university for the second semester without any previous credits or completed semesters. Students who meet the second condition must complete the placement test application form and submit it to the Darma College Registrar's Office by August 2nd. 

   The test will be held on August 8th from 10 a.m. to midnight on August 9th. The test is similar to the TOEIC, with 200 questions divided into listening and reading sections. The test will be administered online and can be accessed by using your examination number or student ID number. The results will be available after 17:00 on August 16th. 

   Based on your results, you will be assigned a level from L0 to L5 and will need to take Global English (GE) or Business English (BE) classes according to your level group. If you receive an L0, you will be exempt from General Education English. Eligible second-semester freshmen should follow the instructions to take the test.
